Pat O’Hara, attempting to replace Rodney Peete as USC’s starting quarterback, completed 13 of 18 passes for 88 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions Saturday in the team’s first full scrimmage.

His chief rival for the job, freshman Todd Marinovich, completed six of 10 passes for 64 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

“They both started out slow,” USC Coach Larry Smith said. “We looked like a typical team after one week. We’ve got a heck of a lot of work to do.”
