Holder Sues UAL: A shareholder filed a lawsuit in Cook County, Ill., against UAL Corp. that asks the court to force the parent of United Airlines to negotiate with Los Angeles billionaire Marvin Davis and other possible buyers, and “auction UAL to the highest possible bidder.” The suit claims the company’s directors have already decided to sell the firm. UAL spokesman Rob Doughty said “it was premature to say that a decision has been reached on whether a sale of the company is appropriate.” Davis last Wednesday said he was willing to pay $6.19 billion, or $275 a share, for the Chicago-based airline.
