A Glendale man was fatally shot in Inglewood during an argument with another man, Inglewood police said Thursday.

Arnaldo Pimentel, 28, was pronounced dead about 6:40 p.m. Wednesday at Martin Luther King Jr.-Drew Medical Center, Sgt. Harold Moret said. Pimentel was shot several times in the upper body about 5:30 p.m. while arguing with a man on a sidewalk in the 3800 block of 111th Place, he said.

Police were looking for the gunman, who fled in a car. Moret said it was not known what the men were arguing about.

“There were witnesses who saw them drive up together,” Moret said. “They were there for some time. Nobody paid any attention until 30 or 40 minutes later when they heard gunshots.”
