Antelope Schools to Buy County Building
The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors agreed Thursday to sell a vacant county office building in Lancaster to the Antelope Valley Union High School District for $1 million.
The 21,500-square-foot building, across the street from Antelope Valley High School, will be used to house 180 students during the semester beginning next month while portions of the high school undergo renovation, said Richard Aitken, district engineer.
The work could be completed in two or three months. The building will later be used for adult education classes and other district programs, Aitken said.
