Illegal Aliens

I commend the mayor of Costa Mesa, Peter Buffa, on his refusal to back down on his support of the city policy of withholding monies from any group that aids illegal aliens.

It is well-known that citizens of Third World countries are coming into the United States in great numbers by any means possible. It is also known that this immigration is greatest from the south where our border patrols are underfunded and spread too thin.

It is also well-known that the church, certain charity organizations and activist groups think that it is the duty of U.S. taxpayers to take care of these people and their ever-increasing families.

I don’t know of anyone that is not sympathetic to the plight of these people, but I do know that our country cannot take care of the Third World countries alone and survive. It seems that the activist groups don’t know or don’t care that our country is surviving on borrowed money and huge deficits. Apparently our lawmakers at the state and federal level have no intentions of doing anything about this great problem. These people should be sent back as illegals where they came from. When all the immigrants are registered to vote--then it will be too late. The politicians have then perpetuated themselves in office, for what?
