Mexican Silver Firm Closes: Penoles Mining Co., one of Mexico’s largest producers of silver, said that poor silver prices have forced it to close its operations, the official news agency Notimex said. The 42-year-old mining company is located in Topia, Durango state, 456 miles northwest of Mexico City.
