Von Hayes’ 3 Home Runs Lead Phillies
Von Hayes was the whole show Tuesday night at San Francisco as the Philadelphia Phillies handed the slumping Giants a 6-1 defeat.
Hayes, benched last week for lack of hitting, hit three home runs and drove in all the runs as the Phillies handed the Giants their fourth loss in five games.
It was the first three-homer game for Hayes, who has 21 home runs this season.
Hayes also had two doubles in a 9-1 victory over the Giants Monday night.
