Rykoff-Sexton Inc.: The Los Angeles-based manufacturer and distributor of food and related products for restaurants, institutions and membership warehouse stores nationwide reported first-quarter profit of $3.9 million, down 19% from a year ago. Revenue totaled $345 million, up 11%. The results reflected higher interest expenses due to recent acquisitions and a loss of sales due to the phase-out of a major chain account.
