A disabled San Diego man was in critical condition Friday at Mercy Hospital after accidentally shooting himself in the head, police said.
Thomas Carry, 49, who has one leg, is partly blind and deaf, was showing friends his newly purchased revolver, which he believed was unloaded, at his home in the 4100 block of Wabash Street, spokesman Dave Cohen said. The incident occurred about 4:15 p.m. Thursday, he said.
