Lucero Easy Winner in Scratch Main Event

Steve Lucero of Riverside was a wire-to-wire winner of the four-lap scratch main event Friday in the weekly motorcycle racing program at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa in front of 3,420.

Bobby Schwartz was second, Billy Hammil of Monrovia third and Steve Russell of Anaheim fourth. Schwartz came from 50 yards off the start to win the eight-lap handicap main.
