LOCAL : North Hollywood Man, 19, Seriously Wounded in Drive-By Shooting
A 19-year-old man was shot and seriously wounded in a drive-by shooting in North Hollywood, Los Angeles police said this morning. No arrests were made.
Hugo Enriques of North Hollywood was walking on Radford Avenue near the intersection of Sherman Way about 9:45 p.m. on Monday when a car drove by and shots were fired, Sgt. Ray Davies said. Enriques was hit in the lower abdomen and was taken to Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills where he was in serious condition.
Davies said because Enriques was injured in a drive-by shooting, the case is being investigated by the North Hollywood Division gang unit. He said it is not known if Enriques is a gang member.
