La Mirada : Construction Worker Hurt When Ditch Walls Cave In
A La Mirada construction worker was injured Wednesday morning when a ditch caved in at the site of a housing development on Beach Boulevard near Rosecrans Avenue, a Fire Department official said.
The victim, whose name was not available, apparently fell into a 10-foot trench and was covered with dirt, the official said.
Co-workers at the scene cleared away the dirt and paramedics took the man, who complained of pain to his pelvis, to a local hospital for treatment.
