Investigation of Mayor Bradley
We were shocked and astounded to see Conrad’s cartoon on Mayor Bradley, “We are not a crook” (Sept. 14).
We have lived and worked under the administration of Bradley. First, he was a policeman, then a city councilman and finally mayor. He spent 47 years at these endeavors. During that time he has been proven to have integrity, to be respected and to be concerned about his fellow citizens--especially the underprivileged.
As far as we are concerned (and we are sure that we are not alone), Bradley has been exonerated by the city attorney’s review, as he states. We will support his explanation as being acceptable to his constituents.
Why is there such a great attempt to discredit Mayor Bradley at this time? It is as if certain elements were lying in wait for him to make a misstep so that they could pounce on him!
