Freeway Ramps to Be Closed Near LAX
Freeway access will be limited near Los Angeles International Airport, while construction of the Glenn Anderson Freeway continues, California Department of Transportation officials announced.
The northbound off-ramp from the San Diego Freeway to Manchester Boulevard has closed, and the southbound Manchester on-ramp will be closed Sept. 28. The ramp closures will last for a month or two, Caltrans said.
The department is working on an eight-lane detour along the San Diego Freeway near its intersection with Imperial Highway. The “temporary freeway,” which will provide continuous passage alongside the 405 Freeway while Caltrans builds a multilevel interchange in the area, will open during the first two weeks of October and remain open for about three years, officials said.
