Finke’s not-so-tongue-in-cheek article on famous idiots must have taken hours of fun research! But surely there must have been times when depression set in. Is this what the mass media has wrought? Who attends those press conferences Bianca gives anyway? Who writes about Studio 54?

Give me a paper that writes about those who fall in line at the Pantry, at Tommy’s, or for left field bleacher seats and I’ll give you a society that knows real merrymaking and not headline making.
