French cyclist Jeannie Longo broke the women’s three-kilometer world record in Mexico City, taking advantage of favorable weather to record a time of 3 minutes 41.640 seconds.
The former record, 3:49.760, was set in 1984 by Rebecca Twigg in Barcelona, Spain.
