Former astronaut William A. Anders will replace Stanley C. Pace as chairman and chief executive of General Dynamics Corp., St. Louis. Anders is senior executive vice president-operations and a director of Textron Inc., which has interests in aerospace technology, commercial products and financial services. He will join General Dynamics on Jan. 1 as vice chairman and will become chairman and chief executive when Pace retires Jan. 1, 1991. Pace has been chief executive since 1986.
