Rockwell International, through its Anaheim-based Autonetics Sensors and Aircraft Systems division, has won a $69-million contract--expandable to $150 million through production options--to upgrade the navigation and weaponry control systems of the Air Force’s F-111Ds and F-111Fs.

A total of 163 aircraft are to be revamped under the “Pacer Strike” contract, with work to be done at Autonetics facilities in Anaheim, Sacramento and Palmdale, with about 70 new workers expected to be hired at a new facility to be built in Sacramento, a Rockwell spokesman said. Work in Anaheim and Palmdale is expected to be handled with existing employees, he said.
