A pocket watch that was partially melted by the atomic blast over Hiroshima, its hands fixed at 8:15, the time the bomb exploded on Aug. 6, 1945, has vanished from U.N. headquarters, officials said.

The watch, which Japan donated for a collection of Hiroshima artifacts, disappeared from a display case about a month ago and is presumed stolen, said U.N. spokeswoman Nadia Younes.
