Grenade Blast Damages Bookstore in Paris

PARIS —
A hand grenade exploded Monday outside a bookshop on the fashionable Left Bank, shattering windows and damaging the entrance door, authorities said. There were no injuries.
Police said the hand grenade exploded at 5:30 a.m. outside a bookshop operated by the publishing company Fayard in the St.-Germain des Pres district. There was no claim of responsibility.
