Financial Report: A record-breaking $5.49 million was collected on the six-hour “L’Chaim To Life!” telethon held Sept. 24 on KCOP. . . Telemundo Group Inc., the Spanish-language television network, raised $2.25 million the same day in a 13-hour telethon to aid Puerto Rican victims of Hurrican Hugo.
