Benefit by Up With People Exceeds Goal

Up With People’s benefit concert for the Challenge Foundation last weekend at UC Irvine’s Bren Events Center grossed about $22,000 from attendance of about 3,000.

Combined with private and corporate grants totaling $25,000, the vocal troupe more than met the terms of a $30,000 challenge grant to the foundation from the Mission Viejo Co. The money will be used for a hydrotherapy pool for handicapped children, to be built at Philip J. ReillySchool in Mission Viejo.
