‘Falcon Crest’

In describing to The Times the new character of Michael Sharpe on “Falcon Crest” (“Dan the Soaps Stay Afloat,” Sept. 28), I made a reference to Michael Milken. The reference was to reflect the qualities of a business and financial genius.

Your use of my reference made it seem as if I was using it as an example of greed, which was not the case. It was unfair to both myself and Mr. Milken that, in an attempt to condense my remarks, you left a very misleading impression.
