From Times Wire Services
WASHINGTON —
The cyst removed from the middle finger of President Bush’s right hand was benign, a White House spokeswoman said Monday.
The results of the pathological examination were relayed to Bush as he concluded a three-day weekend at Camp David, Md..
Surgeons removed the cyst in a 25-minute procedure Friday at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Bush received a local anesthetic.
Physicians had said earlier they did not believe the growth was cancerous.
