About 100 people sang “Give Peace a Chance” at John Lennon’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Monday night in memory of the former Beatle’s 49th birthday. Michelle Phillips of the 1960s rock group the Mamas and the Papas sliced a birthday cake at the celebration that was sponsored by the Alliance for Survival. Lennon’s star is in front of the Capitol Records building on Vine Street.
