Photographs depicting the struggle against apartheid and scenes of daily life in South Africa are on display through Oct. 21 at the downtown gallery of Art Center College of Design, 54 W. Colorado Blvd., Pasadena.
Photographer Dale Yudelman took many of the photographs when he worked for a newspaper in Johannesburg from 1979 to 1985 before the government imposed restrictions on photographers.
Yudelman, 30, a native of Johannesburg, is now a free-lance photographer based in Santa Monica.
The gallery is open Tuesdays through Thursdays from 12:30 to 6 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 12:30 to 9 p.m.
