Parks Reaches Wheelchair Tennis Semifinals
IRVINE —
Brad Parks of San Clemente defeated Chip Parmelly, 6-2, 6-4, in the semifinals of the U.S. Open Wheelchair Tennis Championships at the Racquet Club of Irvine Friday.
Top-seeded Randy Snow of Birmingham defeated Mick Connell of Australia, 6-2, 7-6, to advance.
Parks, who is seeded second, will play fourth-seeded Rick Slaughter of Nashville at 11:30 a.m. today. Snow will play Laurent Giammartini of France at 9:30.
