ANDY MEYERS,

Pasadena 15, Glendale 3--After allowing a field goal on the game’s opening series at Pasadena City College, the Bulldogs limited Glendale to one first down the rest of the first half en route to their first win of the season.

Pasadena (1-4-1, 1-0) mustered only 18 yards in the first quarter but took the lead in the second quarter on Torus Stedney’s 62-yard run. Glendale (3-3, 0-1) drove 48 yards in the first series of the game but had to settle for a 40-yard field goal by Sang Lee when the Nitros’ Pathon Rucker was stopped for no gain on a third-down play at the 17-yard line.

Rucker, a sophomore, finished with 117 yards in 16 carries.

Glendale replaced quarterback Erik Kiesau, who completed nine of 19 passes for 106 yards and one interception, late in the third quarter. But Robert Kulp’s first pass was intercepted by Pasadena’s DeShawn Miles and Kiesau returned for the next series.
