The Motion Picture Assn. of America has upheld its adults-only X rating for “Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre III,” but New Line Cinema says it again will request that the horror movie be rated R. The film company last week made cuts and resubmitted the movie after its first MPAA review was stamped X. The nature of the changes was not disclosed. The film has a Nov. 3 release date. An X rating can hurt box-office ticket sales and subsequent videotape sales and rentals.
