Jury selection was expected to continue Monday in the attempted murder trial of former “Diff’rent Strokes” actor Todd Bridges, who is accused of shooting a man at a house where crack cocaine was sold.

Bridges appeared in Los Angeles Superior Court this week as Judicial Commissioner Candace Cooper asked potential jurors if there were any reasons why they could not hear the trial, expected to last six or seven days.

As a teen-ager, Bridges, now 24, played the older brother of star Gary Coleman in the NBC series “Diff’rent Strokes.”

He is charged with shooting Kenneth Clay in February at a reputed crack house in Los Angeles. Prosecutors contend Bridges shot Clay, an alleged member of a drug ring, several times and tried to slash his throat in a dispute over Clay’s use of a luxury car owned by the actor.

Harvie Eugene Duckett, 30, pleaded guilty to being an accessory in connection with the case and was expected to testify against Bridges.
