Many of the regularly scheduled city council meetings for this week had been rescheduled or canceled because of the planned California League of Cities’ annual conference in San Francisco. Several hundred council members, mayors and staff personnel from Orange County were planning to attend the conference, which was postponed indefinitely after Tuesday’s earthquake. However, it was too late to put the local meetings back on the calendar. The Anaheim, Orange, Seal Beach, Villa Park and Westminster city councils canceled their meetings. Their next meetings will be on the regularly scheduled dates.
