Phuket Island
Regarding Peter L. Allen’s recommendation of the Coral Beach Hotel at Patong on Phuket Island, Thailand (“Travel Tips/Reader Recommendations,” Oct. 1):
This hotel is not for people who have trouble climbing stairs. There are many sets of stairs between the pools and the rooms and between the rooms and the restaurants. The hotel is completely built into a hillside. There are many other (accommodation) choices available (in Patong) for the elderly or unfit.
