The Simon Wiesenthal Center will present its Distinguished Service Award to Home Box Office Inc. for programming that has “raised awareness of human rights.” HBO’s head man, Michael Fuchs, will accept the award at a dinner Nov. 14 in New York. The award cites HBO Pictures for its biographical dramas on human rights leaders, including “Sakharov,” “Mandela” and “Murderers Among Us: The Simon Wiesenthal Story.”
