The Kentucky Supreme Court dealt a legal blow to the state’s thoroughbred industry by allowing the government-owned lottery agency to proceed with a new betting game based on professional football.
In a unanimous ruling, the court dissolved a lower court order won by the Kentucky Thoroughbred Assn. that blocked the lottery agency’s plans for a game based on the results of National Football League games.
