Mosbacher’s Son to Run for Lt. Governor in Texas

AUSTIN, Tex. — Houston oil executive Rob Mosbacher announced Tuesday that he will run as a Republican candidate for lieutenant governor, joining two Democrats in the 1990 race. Mosbacher, 38, is president of Mosbacher Energy Co. His father, Robert A. Mosbacher, is U.S. commerce secretary.
