Losing a Friend

Thank you for the warm, non-sensationalist report on the tragic death of Krisden Tanabe. Unfortunately, space limitations disallow you from paying her the respect she most certainly deserves.

I was lucky enough to count her among my friends for close to 10 of my 18 years. Krisden had the unique and God-given ability to always be happy. I feel fortunate to have seen her mature into an amazing young woman, talented in so many respects.

Krisden left her mark everywhere, be it on the court, in the classroom, or more than often, in your heart. She serves as an inspiration to us all.
