Bush Vetoes Abortion Funds
I am speechless. I honestly don’t know whether to scream or cry. President Bush has done something I thought no compassionate human being could do. This is an act of such gross injustice it makes his representation as President of this great country obscene; a fallacy of a “kinder and gentler nation.”
President Bush has gone beyond the scope of understanding to now reaching the realms of cruelty. I am disgusted and ashamed. Has the President no conscience? His boldness to veto this piece of legislation only proves to push tyranny to a new level. Bush’s concern is obviously not for those who are most vulnerable. This is not the act of a man who is supposed to be sensitive to those most in need. The office of President should stand for “liberty and justice for all.” However, it now represents the upper-class structure with callousness towards others.
