DANA POINT : Hearing Set on Plan for Office Building
The Dana Point Planning Commission next Tuesday will hold a public hearing on a proposal by the Stein-Brief Group Inc. to build a 27,000-square-foot, two-story headquarters building at the northwest corner of Ritz-Carlton Drive and Pacific Coast Highway.
The public hearing will begin at 7 p.m. at 34052 Del Obispo St. “All persons either favoring or opposing this proposal are invited to present their views at this hearing,” said Edward M. Knight, director of Dana Point’s Community Development Department.
Stein-Brief proposes building a “modernistic structure” with two levels of subterranean parking for its headquarters office, Knight said.
Chicago architect Helmut Jahn has been commissioned to design the building. The structure would have an exposed steel frame with sides of teak and clear glass.
