ON THE SIDELINES : North Stars Acquire Jayson More

The Minnesota North Stars said today they have acquired defenseman Jayson More from the New York Rangers in exchange for center Dave Archibald. More, 20, was the Rangers’ first draft choice and 10th overall in the 1987 entry draft. Archibald was drafted sixth overall by the North Stars the same year. This year, the 6-foot-1, 190-pound More is playing with New York’s No. 1 affiliate in Flint, Mich., in the International Hockey League. He has one goal and five assists in nine games. He will report to the Kalamazoo Wings, the North Stars’ top affiliate in Michigan.
