Pasadena : Food Program for Needy

Free food for low-income or homeless families in Altadena and northwest Pasadena will be distributed from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday at the Audubon Site of Pasadena Head Start, 735 W. Altadena Drive.
The program starts this Saturday. Families will be required to furnish proof of address and income each month to be eligible for the free food. The federal low-income guidelines vary according to family size. Generally, to qualify, one person can receive no more than $8,250 annually; the maximum amount for a family of four is $16,800 annually.
The food bank will be operated by Una Casa de Amigos, a cooperative program of Community Housing Services and the Episcopal Church of Our Saviour, San Gabriel.
