Associated Press
WASHINGTON —
President Bush on Wednesday named Ronald Roskens, former University of Nebraska president, to be head of the Agency for International Development.
Roskens, 56, would succeed the late M. Alan Woods as administrator of the agency responsible for U.S. economic and foreign assistance programs in more than 60 countries worldwide.
The post, which requires Senate confirmation, has been vacant since Woods, 63, died of cancer in June.
