Smoke in Cockpit Forces Commuter Plane to Land

MERIDIAN, Miss. —
A Northwest Airlink commuter flight with 16 people aboard made an emergency landing at Meridian Municipal Airport Friday after smoke was reported in the cockpit.
No injuries were reported on the Saab 340 aircraft. The incident was under investigation.
