NATION IN BRIEF : MASSACHUSETTS : Baby Born to Victim of Shooting Dies
The infant boy born to a shooting victim died, two weeks after his mother was killed and his father wounded when they were held up outside a childbirth class in Boston. The cause of death was not immediately released, a spokeswoman for Brigham and Women’s Hospital said. Christopher Stuart had struggled for life in the hospital’s neonatal intensive-care unit since his delivery by emergency Cesarean section hours after his mother, Carol Stuart, 30, a lawyer who was seven months pregnant, was shot in the head by a gunman who held up the couple on Oct. 30. Charles Stuart, 29, was shot in the abdomen and was listed in stable condition at Boston City Hospital.
