LOCAL : No TV or Visitation for Ramirez
From Times Wire Services
Convicted “Night Stalker” Richard Ramirez had his jailhouse visitation and television privileges suspended for 10 days after vandalizing a ceiling air vent while taking a shower, authorities said today.
Ramirez, who was sentenced to death on Tuesday, broke open the facing of a shower vent at the Men’s Central Jail about 11 a.m. Thursday, said sheriff’s Deputy George Ducoulombier. He said it was not considered an escape attempt because “the air vent was not large enough for a person to get into.”
