Christmas Parade
The 58th Hollywood Christmas Parade will be held on Nov. 26 between 6 and 8 p.m. and Sammy Davis Jr. will be the grand marshal. Unfortunately, the parade will not be held during the daytime--when it is warm and sunny--but rather at night when it is dark and cold.
Why? The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce said it is always held at night because it always has been. I don’t believe it can be right and wrong at the same time.
It is wrong to hold the parade when thousands of families won’t even come to Hollywood to see it with their children because crime is worse at night and it is cold.
The parade should start at noon. It can be seen more clearly and Hollywood is much safer for families at that time.
