Hollywood : Christmas Parade Planned

Share

Santa Claus and the reindeer will cruise down Sunset Boulevard on Sunday, Nov. 26, in the 58th annual Hollywood Christmas Parade.

And so will 15 nationally prominent bands, 12 silver-saddled equestrian units, 20 floats and the usual smattering of celebrities.

A new feature of the parade this year is a Hollywood Bandfest, a competition for the nation’s best high school bands.

The parade route begins at Sunset Boulevard and Van Ness Avenue and heads west to Highland Boulevard, where it turns north to Hollywood Boulevard. At Hollywood, the paraders turn east to Bronson Avenue.

Sponsors include the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, Walt Disney Productions and Frederick’s of Hollywood.

Reserved grandstand seating is available on Sunset for $20 and $15. Curbside viewing is free.
