Stand-Up Comedy to Benefit Arts Center

Budd Friedman, co-owner of the well-known Improv comedy clubs, will host an evening of stand-up comedy to benefit the San Fernando Valley Cultural Foundation and its proposed Arts Park L.A. cultural center.

Friedman will emcee three shows tonight in the cafeteria of the Blue Cross of California building in Woodland Hills. Several Improv regulars are scheduled to perform.

The Cultural Foundation, a private group of Valley businessmen and art patrons, has spent eight years in its quest to build a $50-million complex consisting of a theater, museum, art workshops and an open-air amphitheater in the Sepulveda Basin.
