Gisele MacKenzie, one of TV’s reigning singer-actresses on “Your Hit Parade,” “The Sid Caesar Show” and her own NBC variety series in the 1950s, will change her tune on the Nov. 27 installment of the syndicated “Divorce Court”: She plays a purveyor of phone sex.

What will her old fans say?

“In my maturity, I’ve stopped worrying about things like that,” the 62-year-old MacKenzie told us. “I’m an actress and I want to work.”

MacKenzie said she kept busy doing concerts and musicals on the straw-hat circuit until a few years ago, when she quit the road hoping to find TV and film work. Since then, she’s appeared in episodics, including “Murder, She Wrote” and daytime’s “The Young and the Restless.”

Nonetheless, she admits, “It’s been an uphill battle to persuade casting directors that I’m a good actress--especially the very young ones who have no clue of who I am.”

Hence her day in “Court.”

“I don’t think it’ll go unnoticed,” she said. “I thought it was very amusing and I guess I did a good job, because after the taping a couple of the actors came up to me and asked if they could get the number.”
