Series Debut for Mitchum: Veteran film actor Robert Mitchum will make his TV series debut as star of a “lighthearted” family comedy next spring on NBC, the network announced Monday. The show has a working title of “Regular Joe” and casts Mitchum as a crusty homeless man who agrees to pose as the grandfather of four orphans so they can stay together in their own home. Arnold Margolin is the creator and writer.
