PerfectData Reports $3,000 Earnings in 2nd Quarter

PerfectData Corp. said it earned $3,000 in its fiscal second quarter compared with a year-earlier loss of $7,000.

The improvement in the quarter that ended Sept. 30 came on an 8% gain in sales, to $946,000 from $877,000. PerfectData, based in Simi Valley, makes products for cleaning and maintaining computer equipment.

PerfectData also earned $3,000 for the first half of its fiscal year, against a loss of $49,000 a year earlier. Its six-month sales rose to $1.72 million from $1.63 million.
